    Thank you Jesus!

It’s interesting how Jesus was pulling for Cruz and Pelosi. He’s a hard guy to figure out. Just when you think he’s gone full blown conservative, he orchestrates a divided government and sicks Nancy after Trump.

Then the following from the same person:
“I have no idea what Cruz stands for but I can you it isn’t Texas’ true values and our future because he couldn’t even attend a city hall”.

But according to them, we are the ignorant and close-minded ones.
Classic. Glad we don’t have to deal with him but let’s hope he doesn’t decide to run for president like people are asking him to now. . If it was this close in Texas, I don’t even wanna know how close it could be in the entire US.
You saw what Cruz did to him in the debates. Trump would eat him for lunch and crap him out for dinner.

If that mattered this election wouldn’t have been this close

History shows that the only way to get him out is retirement.

Turn off the tribalism for a minute.

                  What has changed?

The GOP still controls the Senate like they did on Monday, and they still don’t have 60 votes to do whatever they want.

However, the GOP no longer decides what gets discussed and voted on in the House.

                  Senate - same
                  House - problem

Somehow in Trumpland this is spun as a “tremendous success”.

In about 3 or 4 months we’ll start to see how tremendous of a success it really was.

The democrats in the house are going to go so far left that they will expose themselves for who they really are. IMHO, if the republicans had kept the house, Trump would not have had much to point to to run against. He just got a big lift in his reelection bid by having a democrat (socialist) run house to run against. Is the overall situation good for the country as a whole? No, but it is what it is.

It's interesting how an individual can function daily with that self righteous stick rammed so far up their azz...

Cruz got elected because he is a Republican in Texas...that is the tide that is changing, as that will soon no longer be enough. *** holes better come to work.

Agree 100%. Cruz didn’t run one add exposing all of the out-of-Texas dollars that poured in for Beta. Very disappointing.

Or until Ruth Bader Ginsberg (or the other lefty Justices) decides to kick the bucket. If all we get out Trump's 8 years is a restoration of sanity in the SCOTUS, that's one hell of a tremendous success.

Having a much larger majority in the Senate is huge so it's not the same. He doesnt have to rely on a few of those pansy *** Republicans to get his appointments though now. The house was already a problem....besides tax cuts what did they give Trump that he wanted? Did they give him the wall? Did they give him immigration reform? There really wont be much difference with the Dems controlling the House vs all the never Trumpers and Rinos. More of the same unfortunately. The best thing was so many of the fake Republicans are out so when they regain the House in 2020, it will be with Republicans that actually support Trump. Trump's second term is where he will really make his mark on returning this nation to where it should be.

The Senate was already on a roll with judicial confirmations, blowing by the progress of recent administrations. That doesn’t change.

The House Republican leadership pretty much left Trump alone.
                              They passed Obamacare repeal.
                              They passed the tax cuts.
They pass the Defense Authorization Bill.
They passed Kate’s Law and legislation targeting sanctuary cities.
They passed class action lawsuit reform.
They passed legislation to provide more oversight over unionized federal employees.
They passed infrastructure bills and regulatory reform legislation.
They passed hundreds of other less visible bills.
Much of what they passed died in the Senate.

Now they won’t be sending anything to the Senate, and the House Democrat leadership isn’t going to leave Trump alone.

Democrats will be able to redraw congressional districts in a number of states where they won state control yesterday, and many suburban voters gave their Republican congressman the boot in favor moderate or liberal Democrats. The idea that the GOP is going to waltz back into House control in 2020 by running Trumpists in suburbia seems like some pretty wishful thinking to me. I suppose it will depend on what Trump does to win those voters back and who the Democrats nominate to run against him.
