Wind forecast don't look favorable this weekend for my lil boat.

Yep, strong wind all weekend, not something I want to have to fight to stay in place.

We fought it today for about 2-3hrs. Wasn’t fun and we bailed out went to the ranch to fill feeders. Caught a few small blacks and whites but nothing good. Saw whites chasing shad but they were really small.

Took the boat to the W lake for a test run. Since it hasn't been run in a year, I wasn't expecting much. And glad I didn't. It was pumping water. But maybe not enough. Gotta figure out if that's the problem or sometthing else.

Anyway, pods preformed just like I had hoped. I only got a quarter mile from the ramp when the motor started coughing. So I just fished right there in that area with the troller. Found a sunken bridge frame going over a creek bed. Caught about a dozen sandies and 3 striperz. Stripers were under size. And so were some of the sandies. The sandies that were legal, were just barley. I didn't wanna take a chance on them rubbing the tails shorter so everything went back in the drink. I got 3 hours around noon total in. About half on jigs and half on minners.
And no telling if I'll get the boat back in the water before June 1st gets here. She gets winterized for summer storage then anyway.

This is what I found last Sunday. On second thought, it's a frame for some boat slips. And maybe a walkway.
