      Yep! We used them to open the steel canned Schlitz tall boys.

              Does anyone remember when you would go to the local liquor store and get a quart of draft beer in a cardboard container. My job at 5 yrs old was taking the lid off and licking the foam when the gang would come to the park next to us.

                I knew, but really only had one friend who used that term. It was not a common term in our area in the 80's. (I graduated in '83)

                  I can remember opening those cans for my Dad. There is likely still one unopened can in my Mom's garage.

                                Ah yes, back when a beer can was really a can. Also carried flat bottle opener back then. If you didn't have a bottle opener the gas cap on truck worked well and later seat belt ends.
