You made my point so no need to argue That we won’t change the culture but we will change the fact that they pay taxes. We already get their “problems” so we may as well take advantage of that.
The war on drugs is completely different than a country literally being controlled by a cartel that is assassinating their opposition. We annex and control the situation versus sitting back and watching hundreds of thousands of illegal Aliens cross our border with no upside. It’s really a simple equation.

Instead of taking over Mexico and then having a war with cartels I'd rather have war with liberals and then close our borders. Then maybe start fixing the USA.

And good luck getting the IRS to collect 10 pesos in taxes from them. Would cost us 100,000 pesos to collect.

Ok let’s just keep doing what we are doing cause it’s working so well.
In less than 10 years there will be enough scrub come across the border to swing states in the south blue and then it’s a complete loss.

Nobody is advocating status quo, but biting off more than we can chew is equally bad or worse than we have now. Wall, military border security, cut off aid to Mexico, all doable solutions.

So making Mexico a state and giving 130 million people with deep Marxist values the right to vote is the solution to prevent our country from turning blue?

Political assassinations, murders, and violence continue to escalate as Mexico’s elections approach. In the 10 months since the election cycle started, nearly 130 political candidates were murdered.

Question for all the folks who hunt in Mexico. What do y'all think of the election results and how will this affect your hunting?

so far so good,i was there last week and its pretty upbeat, says hes gonna leave the cartels alone and work on internal corruption. The problem is the US is as corrupt as the mexicans its just easier to point our fingers at them and say bad. We should mind our on business and fix this mess on this side before we go trying to save the planet.our politicos suck just as much as they do.

Our corruption is not as bad as Mexico. If it was we would suk as bad as Mexico and we don't.
We are not trying to mind Mexico's business, they keep pushing the invasion of our country on their list of to do's .
Mexico could be a wonderful country if they would fix their issues.
This socialist they just elected will make things much worse forcing us to spend even more of our money to deal with it.

So Mexican government "internal corruption" has nothing to do with the cartels...
                        thats an interesting spin.

You know for a fact that if a mexican politician is alive.....he's being paid by the cartel

I posted this on the other mexican thread.....but I'll post it again on this one.

Mexican President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador announced this week that he plans to travel without armed guards and claims that the people will protect him, even as the country has been rocked by scores of political assassinations over the past several months.

President Enrique Pena Nieto reportedly offered Lopez Obrador federal protection until he takes office, but he declined, saying, "The people will protect me. ... He who fights for justice has nothing to fear."

Lopez Obrador, who is commonly referred to as "AMLO," also told a large crowd of supporters: "You’ll all be watching out for me."

Arent guns illegal there, how can the common man protect himself, much less a politician.

I want to say the markup on cocaine from Columbia to the US is something like 10,000%. If the US was not consuming drugs and cheap labor at the rate that we do, the cartels wouldn't have the money and power that they have.
