Personally at first light I would have been back at the fence where the blood trail was so I could tell more about what the deer may have done. Things are so much easier to see in the daylight. You may recover the deer without involving dogs or your neighbor. Good luck and hope you recover him quick.

Ok just got ahold of the neighbor, they are elderly and said they would be up soon and go take a look! Dont ask me how but at least I got ahold of them. Dog is in it's way I hope she is able to work with the next door neighbor. Blood is very hard to see we had very little and the leaves here are red!
