Just curious , what`s the difference in T-5 and T-6 ? Also between 5-40 and 15-40 ? Which weight would be best in these hot Texas months ?

Sounds like somethun I’d say in person.

T5 is synthetic blend vs T6 is full synthetic. I've been running 15w40 T6 in mine for over 200k in North Texas and haven't had any issues. I don't do much heavy towing tho.

5 is a blend while 6 is full synthetic which means little to me.

The weights are more critical, older Diesel engines used 15-40 but some newer ones (powerstroke) require the 5-40 dues to clearances in engine components. and the wrong oil will void your warranty

I have a 6.7 and manual says to use 15-40 in hot areas.

Wow, that is a legit good price. Thanks for posting.

Looks like they flipped the price back to the original $145, glad I snagged up a case when I did.
