If you guys are asking for simple suggestions. No need for wind on leaders just put a top shot on. Boat will have spools of mono and I usually carry a spool. Braid I would go 65# or better. I can’t break 65# myself and if it gets in the boat it doesn’t matter it’s gonna cut off. Rods/reels. If you have something you can cast that has a drag system around 20# or more. Rods need to have some backbone for lift.

I have a quality spin reel I’m bringing without a rod if anyone has an xtra rod. It’s a Penn Torque 7 so it has plenty of line and drag. You could easily complicate things or just keep it simple.

I'm just gonna ask Glen and Doug if I can play with their rods.

There ya go, I'm out of the closet.

I can promise I've seen no Tuna the last 2 days nor the next 2 days! We need 7 big azz crappie 2 days in row. I am looking forward to the ocean perch trip though! I like fishing period. Fun to do new stuff!!

On past trips what percentage of yellowfin were caught chunking vs jigging vs casting lures? Thanks

Todd, with ocean perch, the reel isn’t broke just because line is screaming off of it. Lol

I been the same with these yellow mouth trout. I’ll get up in morning and go try and trick them but they been in hiding. I also will fish in a puddle for a minnow if that’s what I got

Hey. I've fished in a ditch for a minnow. It was an epic battle.
