Nap for lunch
Ribeyes, oven baked tots and a salad for Saturday dinner with bacon wrapped jalapeños for a snack

Don't get me wrong I love having land where I can walk out my back door and hunt anytime I want but this is what I miss most of all about being on a lease with a good bunch of guys. Good times and good food!

We’ll eat Boudain and deer sausage one evening, and beans and rice or tortilla soup the next. Haven’t gotten that far yet

Our place is about 40 miles from the nearest restaurant, so we've built in a tradition of eating steaks one night of the weekend. Cheaper than going to town for dinner.

The rest of the time it's sandwiches, hot dogs, cereal, granola bars, etc.

Frosted pop tarts and coffee in the blind. Late-morning breakfast of eggs, bacon, and biscuits. Dinner after the evening hunt will likely be a ribeye, beans, and corn on the cob.

And whiskey. Lots of whiskey...

Looks like it’s me and the daughter for the weekend. Not sure what she’s planning, told her to surprise me. Hope I don’t live to regret that. Weather should be nice.
