I’ve heard the smaller ones before they get wormy taste just like redfish. I know they are both drum, y’all find that to be true?

In my honest opinion they are the best esting fish in the bay and the toughest to clean.

I think they are (maybe way) better than redfish.

They are good. So long as they aren't wormy but you'll know that as soon as you start filleting them. I get some that are loaded with worms but a good many don't have 'em.

You can halfshell them and throw them on the grill just like redfish too.

Not one worm in a single fish. I have also heard of them having worms.

I see worms in legal sized drum all the time. Sometimes you start to fillet one and the entire fillet is full of worms. It's not unusual at all. But they are easy to see. There isn't any doubt.
