Its sounding like an 11 team Big 12 next year since BYU in currently independent, the other 3 AAC schools won't be allowed to leave their conference until 2023 at earliest and depending on what the Big 12 wants to do with the OUT exit, conference could even be 14 team conference in 2023.

Houston, UCF, and Cincinnati are currently part of the American Athletic Conference and would need to give the AAC 27 months notice and then each pay an exit fee of $10 million to join the Big 12.

The OUT exit doesn’t happen until the the new teams come in or maybe a year after, is OUT going to pay for the AAC exit fees too so they can leave early. Aggie knew what they were doing letting the SEC move out early, it was either going to kill it or cause additional financial hardship on UT.
