I never knew there was that many quail breeds. Them suckers look big. I think my incubator will do 2 or 3 hundred quail eggs. Might have to build a new pen they look tasty.

Chew. Have you considered selling fertilized eggs after you are up and running ? I’m curious how big the myshire birds get. Be great to have a TBH source.

These bird are very fun to raise

I'm almost thinking this might be fun. I might have to check into investing and doing something like this.

Not a bad idea. If I have more than I can hatch out or eat I definitely will.

The guy I got my first quail from keeps them in elevated cages that are about 3×3 and keeps them at 5 hens to one cock. I keep mine in large communal cages same ratio. Here are my cages. I already had these cages so a little bit of money to sparrow proof one of them.

Very nice Walker. I won't have room for something like that until after retirement next January

Following. I need to get an incubator myself. My 30 birds lay WAY more eggs in the spring than I can eat.

My quail lay plenty of eggs as well. I have 2 incubators. I use the one for the initial phase and then have the second one ready with the higher humidity level ready for the break out phase.

Working on the quail cage today. Three levels. Got the frame completed. Went to two home depots. Talk about some crappy lumber. Worst I've ever seen.
