That is awesome. An axis lease is an excellent idea. I need to look for something like this. My son and I have been trying for years to kill one through drawn hunts TPWD and TYHP with no luck.

Well the first year on my lease near Del Rio has come and gone. It was a season I will never forget. I ended up killing an Axis buck, two Axis does, and a turkey. My wife killed an Axis buck also.

This is a really special place and I can’t wait to see what this year will have in store for us. I’ve been heavily feeding protein, as well as corn, rice bran, and Alfalfa.

We will be headed there this weekend. Mrs. Antlercollector will be trying to get her 2nd Axis bow kill, and possibly her 1st turkey. Wish her luck. I will update this thread when I can.
