Look at this Buck July to November 2019

Genetics, soybeans, corn, clover, alfalfa, and testosterone. This buck is not on our farm but we have a skinny bucks in the spring and summer that will bulk up similar to this one.

Makes him look even tougher with that blind right eye! Cool pics! I have a couple of bucks at the house that have a similar thing going on with one of their eyes. Most likely got jabbed during a little fighting action. They’re real easy to notice in night pics, cuz one eye will reflect, the other will be dark. Good Huntin, and God Bless, Rusty

Man now that is an incredible comparison, WOW.
What else that I have found interesting over the years from a taxidermist stand point is that no matter how thin I shave a small necked, early season buck's tanned cape, it is impossible to get the size out of it that it will blow up to be during the rut.. It is like their skin goes through some sort of elasticity transformation when the hormones get to flowing..

Iowa studd right there. I have a friend that lives up there and a couple years ago shot a buck with a 31" neck. That transformation is crazy.
