I’ve got a suppressed 8.5” SBR .300. It’s fun. We’ve killed everything from hogs to axis to whitetail. We’ve never shot at an animal past 150yds however. My 2 cents. BTW, it’s a great tool teaching young ones to shoot!
Awesome!! So I am looking at 2 Aero Precision Pistols. One with a 8.5" barrel and the other with a 10.5" barrel. Look like it'll be 6 in one hand and half a dozen in the other. I'll close my eyes and throw a dart. lol
I’ve never even seen a 1:5 twist barrel. My SBR has a 1:8 and it shoots 110 grain supers and 220 grain subs with equal accuracy.

I’ve seen some 6 twists meant to spin the heavy 240 Gr cast stuff, but yeah 5 twist is quite pointless. Pretty much all factory barrels are either 7 twist or 8 twists, and neither have an issue with any of the 220 Gr and lighter offerings (which is pretty much all factory ammo).

Q's 300BLK are 1 in 5. KB swears by it and he designed the cartridge so I'm guessing he knows what he's about. Something about it having better terminal effects.
I own a 8" 1-7 twist that shoots fine so I don't know lol.
