    It happens to us all

But it sucks worse when it's you.
Decided I'd whack a doe. Have really been struggling with my desire to even shoot one unless the trophy walks by. But have some friends who want deer. Small bucks are being, well, young horny bucks. Pushing the doe all over. Finally get one to stop for 5 seconds Infront of me, broadside at 14 yards and . . .
Right through the liver. Waited about 90 minutes. Found a very good looking arrow. Then two big spots (like three foot in diameter soaked sand) of blood where she went down. Even what looked like a piece of lung. The dog ate it btw. But after that nada. Four hours of searching. Nothing. The dog was an amateur so no blame on it. Blame on me.

Well, here I am. ****** off.

Thanx Bisch. Just want these new people to understand it's something even experienced people deal with.

I know the feeling. If it didn't hurt, we would have no business bowhunting.

The coyotes were going nuts in the area I felt she went to. But the brush is so thick there sh could have been ten yards away and I'd have missed her.
But today is another day. So we shall see.
