    How safe is Brownsville

So I may be going to work in Brownsville and with it so close to the border I was wondering how safe it is and how worried should I be about truck getting stolen or broke into?
Also any good but doesn't break the bank day hunts / fishing trips.

Will you be living in Brownsville? There can be an issue with vehicle getting broke into or stolen it’s always been a little bad.

I ate lunch there with my wife last week, seafood was weak, their water district will sell you water at 25 dollars an acre ft. Less than 5 k acre ft remain, buy ASAP

So you took the job as a tail-gunner on a Budweiser Truck?

Safe. I was born and raised in Brownsville and we never had any issues.

Well one time my moms Tahoe was stolen, but we got it back after a chase when they were caught trying it to drive it across. But heck, trucks get stolen everywhere.

No way I would move my family to Brownsville or any border town

Of the time I spent working in the area, there would need to be a SIGNIFICANT increase in pay before I would ever live down that direction.

I hated ever living millisecond I had to spend down there.

Couldn’t tell you about safety though now days. Like most things in the media, I would guess most “headlines” and “news” is to sell media, not reporting reality.

Take a tow strap with you. I swear every 6th car in Brownsville is being towed. If you break down you can always find someone to tow you where need to go.

                            It's not safe, try Chicago.

According to TBH pretty much every place is safer than Houston
