We are back at it & settled in!!!

East & SE winds called for a set change. So here I am, sitting in the ladder stand that Big Bob visits often.
Clark is South of me in a lock on that neither one of has hunted. It's on the edge of a creek bend over looking a little cove in a field.
Trashy 8 has made several visits there. Hoping to see either buck this morning.

It's only 16 degrees and feels like 15.

As I'm typing this, I look up and see a doe feeding on acorns to the North.

Should be a great morning!!!

Good luck. We made it up yesterday around 1. One of my top 3 sits ever, action packed including a 170+ mounting a doe 3 times within 50 yards of me. Couldn't seal the deal. It's so cold my Copenhagen hurt my teeth when I took a chew this morning. Good luck

Woods are alive.

Been watching a small 8 chase a doe with 2 yearlings for 30 minutes.
Haven't heard him grunt yet but he had a cough like a 3 pack a day smoker.
Got a doe and yearling here now feeding in acorns.

Movement has slowed down.
Wind is picking up and it's raining leaves and acorns.
It doesn't feel any warmer than it did at daylight.
Clark hasn't seen a deer yet. Probably gonna make a change around 10:00

Got off the stand at 10:00 due to slow movement.
Stopped at the Farmers house to visit and found out I was hunting a dead deer this morning.
The neighbor killed Big Bob yesterday evening.
Main Frame 11 point. 15 total scoreable point with trash.
Punch to the gut. But that's hunting.

Trying get a game plan together. And get back on a stand.
