Anyone in between Baytown and Lake Charles have some to spare.
I'm picking up my Catahoula from Duckdogtrainer tonight and want to get her started ASAP

Check with local game warden. They may be able to help because of road kill or poaching.

My 2 cents.... My brother and I tracked wounded deer in Llano and San Saba counties for over 20 years. Lots of deer. We never trained with a hide. Blood only. We found that if the wounded deers trail was cut by a (or several other deer) from the time it was hit to the time you start trailing, the dog would sometimes turn off and trail the fresher deer scent. Train with blood, and they only trail blood. You don't have to have blood on the ground for them to trail it. We used Beagles and Weimaraners.

Yes some Counties have repealed the law prohibiting dogs to trail a wounded deer. Not every County has though

It's legal in Polk County to use a dog, but not Hardin
