If you reload I’d go with a 7 Sherman max or mega. If not something like the 28nosler or 300 prc would be my top choices in a lightish weight setup.
Spend some serious time at the range in different positions and conditions till you’re comfortable hitting a 5-6” circle at 700 consistently and call it good.

I have a 7 Mag STW that is my absolute go to rifle...when I'm hunting out of a blind or a truck. There is no way I would take that thing into altitude. It stays in the safe when I go to the mountains. As others have said, I would be in the market for a lightweight/mountain rifle.
Since you said you haven't really gun hunted in 20 years, I'm going to assume you don't reload. In that case, I would go with 300 win mag so I could be sure I would have access to ammo. That way if you need to play around with some different loads at least you have options.

Do you know how to adjust for that thin air at high altitude? Ram ballistics and trued them?
Just stating there’s a lot more to it than buying a gun capable of that.
300 win or 7 mag. 300 wsm or 7 Saum. You’ll want high BC and horsepower at that distance. Need high BC to cut the wind and you’ll need to be able to read the wind up there. Chances are it’ll be high wind that high. 700 is a risky risky shot in high wind. And especially at an altitude you haven’t proved data in. Buying the equipment is the easy part.
For the record, I own the gear and know how to use it. It would have to be perfect conditions for me to attempt that shot on that animal in a place like that.
