            Project wheel bearing

Bought a press from Harbor freight after hours of fighting with that piece of junk took it to work and had the new bearing Pressed in less than 30 seconds.

So much easier when you have the right tools.

The right tools always help. Lol!! I’ve changed so many sets of bearings on my ranger I’ve almost got what wrenches and tools I’ll need memorized.

I would’ve been fine if I’d have bought a bigger press. Thinking about exchanging the one I bought for a bigger one. I’m sure this won’t be the last time I need it

I plan on doing this chore next week.
                    Polaris 500HO fronts.

I'm guessing extracting the olds is where the fight began?

I don't have a press, but can use one at work if need be- I'd prefer to get it nocked out on my days off.

Did you try heating before pressing?

Older I get the more I hate mechanic work. Always turns into a bigger project than you start with.

Yep. put those bearings in the freezer and some heat on the hub and they will drop right in. no press needed.

Good deal, the bearings have been the freezer about ten days so far

I intended to do this last set off but ran out of time.
They will be as frozen as they'll get by the time I take them out (obviously there all ready).

I purchased from "ALL BALLS" racing and was caught off guard when my wife asked why my "ball things" were in the freezer
