On our trip last summer we VRBO'd a condo on the beach about a 1/2 mile down the beach from Atlantis. We did have to get groceries at the local supermarket but it wasn't too bad. We also made a contact at Atlantis that provided access to the resort at a reasonable price. I think with flights, food, entertainment, a full day boat charter (fishing and swimming with pigs) and the condo, we spent<10K for a family of 7. PM me if you have any interest in discussing.
