Ok, you're whining about 1 fence pickets getting broken from a limb that fell DURING A STORM, an "Act of God". Those trees provide A LOT of value to your neighbor and YOU. Factor in the aesthetic beauty, the Energy Savings from shade and keeping your back yard cooler, the nut production, etc....and you should be thanking your neighbor. It looks like most of the limb/debris is on his side anyway.

The tree in the foreground is in my yard. Reading is hard...

Whining about a .37 cent piece of fence wood,, that will need to be replaced in 3 yrs. due to shoddy work,, is hard also.

Sympathy you were looking for just ain’t happening.

            Sorry for your bad luck.

                    Should be an easy fix.

You want him to trim the limbs back but you have a tree on the fence line.

Tree damage plus fence, claim it on homeowners. Saw it on another thread how you can get big bucks for damage to trees on homeowners.
