    Mega-stout box blind

A retired friend of mine has had some recent medical issues and the doc told him to keep busy as a form of rehab and mental focus. He knew I was needing a box blind for my Terrell County lease aND offered to build it for me. He began this past week and got the base done today. This baby is EXTRA stout and gonna be a tank. Maybe a little overkill but that's just fine with me!

It's gonna get laid over on a trailer and driven to its spot and then stood up. She's gonna stay there!

Yea that's heavy but heavy is good. He did a good job on the base.

Nice! But I couldn't hunt out of it with that cross bracing not being exactly the same on all four sides!

Need something that heavy out in Terrell County to keep the wind from blowing it over. I couldn't tell you how many times I've had to pick up and repair a blown over box blind at our place in Sanderson.

This is the "don't flip" method used in the Terrell County stands that my builder has previously made aND set up. Said it's fool proof. We shall see.

I hope you have a heavy duty trailer.
                      Good job.

Moving right along with it, can't wait to see it finished.
