Motion sickness affects some people differently. Some get it and some don’t. For me I find it’s getting worse as I get older. Simply walking across a moving conveyor on an assembly line can make me want to throw up.

Things like Dramamine and anything with ginger can help.
I have used the bracelets/watches that send electrical pulses into your wrist to be the most effective when it comes to being on a boat and getting motion sickness. I was the most skeptical fisherman years ago off the coast of Hawaii when the caption suggested one to me. The thing works like a charm. The charge and timing can be manually set. The one I wear you adjust it on your wrist until the charge is felt in you middle finger. I know this sounds crazy but.......

Stay hydrated and cool. The worst thing that can happen out there is getting hot and dehydrated from puking.

          I've never been seasick....................
But, I can sure sympathize with those that get it................
I've seen grown men, begging to die...........
          Marines, just think they're tough.............

To your question..... Talk with a Dr.......................

I'm not sure where you are leaving out of but what I see on my apps for Port A show 4ft+ seas this coming weekend, I would not intentionally take a 6 yr old (or me) out in those seas on any vessel but I admit I've gotten pretty soft in my old age.

Just tell him, "Suck it up buttercup, this is fishing boy".

Maybe that's why my son is late for fishing always.

                Good luck.

Thanks for all the replies guys....I think I am going to rub a lime on his bare feet while he is chewing benadryl enhanced ginger gum and putting bracelets on his arms and ankles.

Ask the Captain if he can steer the boat.
It's worked for me and my Grandson. Something about having control.
