Hinch said both White and Kemp will probably make opening day roster. Both are out of options. He said probably only 12 pitchers instead of the usual 13 as they have 4 days off in April. White and Kemp were thought to be battling for last spot.

That means Marisnick will start in AAA.

When did Kemp get an extension?

Tucker has way more trade value than Reddick, but they won't trade Tucker. They would trade Reddick for a bag of balls if someone would take back his contract.

My bad. Misused the specific term "extension" with this topic. Intended meaning was more of continuation, furtherance, preserving, ect.

Oh right. Gotcha. Since they'll be carrying only 12 pitchers and 13 position players.

I like it. Gives Kemp and Marisnick a chance for some playing time before they decide who to send down when they flip back to 13 pitchers.

Valdez. Two lefthanders in rotation would be nice and he did really well last year. Peacock is so valuable in pen also

Framber Valdez is done after 1 1/3 innings.
He's allowed three hits and two runs (so far) and walked a pair.
Of his 48 pitches, 23 were balls so control remains an issue.
