    CWD Discovered in Limestone County

I heard today that four Whitetail Deer on a High Fence Breeding Facility in Limestone County that were tested by Texas A & M were positive for CWD. The Ranch is now under quarantine. Get ready for more mandatory CWD testing of harvested deer by TPWD in Limestone County and surrounding Counties.

TPWD did not give location. In the past, they have put down all deer on the facility/Ranch. They have not said what action they will take on this place.

I hope the breeders and the enablers at the state are happy with themselves. Only a matter of time until the whole state is ate up with it.

And don't give us that crap about it always being here. There has been extensive testing of wild deer that has proven that to not be true.

Plenty of CWD deer in free range herds too.

This breeder hasn’t had any deer transferred in in 7+ years.

I have a handful that were purchased from him a few months ago at a facility. All deer were live tested before they were moved and were negative, now I likely have to kill them all.

Not correct. It’s been in Texas since at least 2012 in free ranging animals not connected to any breeding facilities.

TTT has been suspended since 2021
