Heading to Vermejo Park Ranch

My wife surprised me and got me a bison hunt at Vermejo in March for my 60th birthday! Man I married well!!!

If all works as planned, I’ll be stalking a mature bull. I’m taking my bow, but will also bring my Ruger #1 in 45/70. My Savage 17hmr will also be coming in case we get to hit the prairie dog town.

I’ll make sure I only use the right lane for passing as we drive to and from, I won’t take any 1000 yd head shots, and we’ll fully track any animal I hit. Hopefully, my future posts will also contain correct sentence structure so the resident English professor/GOF won’t be offended.

Good luck Jeff. A bit of a step up from hunting Jarvis in Webb county. I looked at their Elk hunts and the place is incredible. You definitely married a keeper. 60 ain’t so old

That’s one of the nicest places to hunt anywhere imo. They are crazy expensive but top notch. Good luck.
