Just read/reread this thread from start to finish over the last week. Few pages here, few there.

Getting ready for our yearly trip to Broken Bow next month.

Going to make an effort to do more fly fishing this year. From bream in the ponds to whatever I can get to cooperate

The better guides will follow the fish so it depends on when you’re going. A lot of the good ones are upper keys/Miami based. I only have first hand experience with Hanson Lau. His business is called Purple Isle Fly Fishing. He is absolutely awesome.

I fly fish all the time, mostly golf courses and ditches.

Some of my most fond memories are fly fishing golf courses with my Dad. The one where I grew up had a lake with street lights on the bank. We would “sneak” on the course at night and sight fish to hybrid bluegills and bass throwing hoppers.

                So...much...fun

I'll be giving a seminar on fly fishing for bigger bass to the Austin Fly Fishing Club this Thursday night at 7. It's funny and informative. If you're in the area, stop by.

Nice what weight are you using for that type of fishing?

                            It’s a little over kill but I use 5-6wt.

I use my 5wt for bass most of the time. Comes in handy with closures and bigger bait fiat patterns

My old 3 was more fun but I left it in a rental car in Denver and amazingly they couldn’t find it
