I’m thinking you made a good enough shot to probably get the lungs. He probably will run to water. If you have a water source within 40 yards, that’s where I’d be looking. Just a guess though, but you may find him dead there.

You hit the void and lucked out that the ran into a pond and sucked water into the chest cavity and died from infection.

Nah. I figured he’d run farther than 40 yards but thought double lung for sure. Gotta hit low for the heart, but those lungs go way farther back, in my opinion, than most people think. especially a little higher up.
