I doubt I'm the first to say it, but,... It's better than LOTR.

Dang right it's better than LOTR. No comparison for me. But that's just me.

The one aspect of ASOIAF that has always made it unique for me is that it's NOT a single character, or even a few character driven plot. There are a lot of players, it can be confusing at times, but it gives the author more options. In other words, anybody can die at any time and the story can keep on going. No one is safe.

It's the best of all of the great fantasy series... I just hope he finishes... and it is satisfying.
