Nothing better than catching fish with a couple good looking young ladies! I always have a better time fishing with my wife. Glad y'all had a good time and got to fill the freezer.

              Catfishing….

Congrats on the awesome trip. I’ll have to look into the Stubby’s bait. We have been using Mr. Whiskers cheese punch bait. It reaks and gets all over our hands when handling the line but the fish really love it. Would much rather something thats not as nasty to handle. We have been hammering them on Conroe. These are from multiple trips

As much as I love saltwater I can never turn down some good catfishing. It’s what I came up doing. Rod and reel, limb lines while camping on a river bank, and running trotlines. Love it all.

Only thing that’s changed is I’ll let the big girls go but if it’s a “eater”
                      It’s in the box

We live at Fork and have a camper in the same park as Stubby and Shannon, the park you fished out of. I will only use Stubbys bait these days due to how well it works and the very noticeable difference in smell between it and it's competition. The Fork eater cat are pretty easy to figure out this time of year, just find some 20-30ft of water at the mouth of a creek in the trees and drop the range cubes. After that wait about 30 minutes and they will come flying in. Hope yall get to have several fish frys out of that trip.

Great haul right there. It's very relaxing. We hired a conroe guide for me, wife, BIL, SIL and had a blast. Drop some range cubes, go catch a few crappie on structure, and then come back and hammer the cats. Great day.

Range cubes? Are you talking about cattle cubes?

Call 'em what you want. They attract catfish...and the fish don't care what you call them!
