Spring Bear Hunts

Who has gone or typically goes on a spring bear hunt?

I am looking for an “affordable” spring black bear hunt.

My one prerequisite is that I don’t want to hunt over bait, I will only hunt spot and stalk and prefer archery.

Let’s hear your experiences and recommendations.

No luck on my end.....they dont offer spring bear hunts.

If you're looking for adventure don't discount a hunt over bait. I went last fall, I hunted from a ground blind with my longbow. The blind was made of spruce limbs and I was set up 10-12 yds from the bait I had a really big bear come in though I couldn't get a shot. Believe me, a bear on the ground at 10 yds provides plenty of adventure. Or, you might ask Bisch about the one that climbed a tree with him.
