Yeah, exactly. It snowed while he hunted the Chap last year.

Yall don't worry about the weather. Its wasted emotion, nothing you can do about it anyways!

Green or not, corn or no corn. Use your hunting skills, those bucks should be full blown nutcases over some poon and ready to brawl about it. Thats what makes Chap so special!

Exactly man I’m not stressing at all! All I’ve heard is that there are big deer every where so I honestly don’t care what pasture we get either. If we can find the doe we will find the bucks.

Me and my son will be headed down this weekend for the youth antlerless hunt as a standby. I will be there solo for the Dec 4-7 archery hunt as well.

I’ve seen them hot and heavy and I’ve seen it dead. I’ve also hunted it with baiting and without, I’ll take not green, cold and corn every time. Gonna be a good time regardless

What are y’all thinking as far as set ups?
I’m probably going to take some military netting and make some wicked brush blinds. I’m also taking a short tripod for either my pops or me

Brush or pit blind is best option but I will take a pop up just in case weather is bad and it’s nicer for all day sits because you can move some.

Be there for the second archery hunt, taking everything I got, tree stand, ground blind and short tripod. Yes, tree stand, a swivel limb works great on mesquite trees.

My 2015 Chap buck. It’s an awesome place. I was very happy with my deer when I took him, but had a little buyer’s remorse when I had a perfect 150ish 10-point in range for 30 minutes two days later.

Does anyone know if there is a curfew for generators on the camper section. I heard from a friend who went a few years ago they shut them down at 10 PM. I am going to bring my wife but need 24 hour creature comforts for her.

This, but just use curtisy and try to set generators away from other campers so we can all sleep.
