Yes it is... Plenty of room for 2. I could probably fit my dad and my 6yo son in it with me. Very well made and the window configs are good. The shoot-through nets are velcro, which is the only thing I don't like. Overall I love it

I had a an elevated ground blind right next to & tied to a tree with a hollowed out section. Every time I would enter the blind there would be coon crap on the floor of the blind. They must have really enjoyed crapping in it because they used it for exclusively for that purpose.

Such a great thread with lots of excellent ideas. I'm gonna take what I learned the first time and build myself a new platform using tips I got from this thread. Except this time I'm going to go ahead and build a 6x6x6' box for the top instead of putting a popup tent up. Should give it more durability. Stay tuned.....

Where is everyone getting the braces for the 4 x 4 legs? Don't want to spend an arm and a leg for them

Starting a platform build this weekend, a little close to season but oh well. It will be for a rifle stand for this year. Will update with pics

Love the trap door. Need to do this on my next build.

I will be starting my build today, but will be using horse mat from TSC. 1/2" rubber deadens sound a bit and doesn't get sour when left wet. Granted I will only be going 4' up.

I built one out of steel a few years back.
6'x6' platform 7' removable and adjustable legs.
Has an expanded metal floor and I use 5/8" stall mat on top of that with office chairs. Have hunted two large men with no problems. When it gets cold I just light the little buddy heater. I have moved this set up by myself when necessary.
First year I secured it with fencing wire through the floor to the anchors inside the blind. The last few years I just used large zip ties.

the more you can add the better but the carpet should be enough

Thought I’d try and get this discussion going again. Just got one of my cattle panel blinds off the ground. Still need some paint and carpet inside to finish it off. 8x8 platform with 8’ legs.
