OU going to name Brent Venables as HFC as early as today? This is getting some traction.

Vegas has taken the OU HFC job on their boards (which means they are close to a hire).

He was co DC with Mike Stoops I believe and one of the reasons he left was that he wasn't calling the defense. He has been pretty **** good at Clemson.

Saban wasn't involved this go around. Urban Meyer was the big fish that Texas went after, but he opted for the NFL. The next guy they zeroed in on was Sark.

He was the fall back, the Urban deal was in the works. He opted for the NFL.
