Looks really close to my avatar buck that scores right at 150. Man - what's up with the horns not growing this year, so disappointing (two that I planned on chasing this year did not improve)

Looks just like a 143” 11 my wife shot a few years ago. Good looking buck.

Well, another lease member killed him this morning. No more wondering what he scores. They scored him at 146 6/8 155lbs.

Clearly the election to pass was not a lease wide decision.

Why age did his teeth indicate?

Great deer. Congrats to the hunter

Yes, knowing he was going to die within a week, I wish I would have shot him. Everyone on the lease isn't on the same page for deer management. It wasn't shot as a mistake either.

It would have been my biggest bow kill by 20".

Have to try and grow a new one now.

I cant stand it when someone says YOU should have shot him. Best of luck that he rolls through the season and gets on the protein. BTW, if you havent been feeding protein to him, I would start now. It will keep him in the best shape possible body/health wise going through the winter. The better shape they are in when they drop their antlers the better set they grow the following season.
                        This for sure.

                            How old was he?

We don't know age. I had him at 4.5 years old, he weighed 155. Our 5 year old deer usually weigh in the 170's but he could have been ran down from the rut. Will never know for sure.
