You will not find a showroom SC Z28...they are by their tradition naturally aspirated.

Thought I was pretty clear in my post that my ZL1 was a high performance sports car & it's made to turn, but most mod & race them in the 1/4 mile turning them into rods for the most part. Getting to the strip is a lot easier than the road course. Still, there is something to be said for any stock car that is hitting high 10's in stock form.

I don't think the car necessarily needs to be older, but more specifically used & drove at the drag strip to be a rod. Showroom?? The Camaro COPO comes to mind.

There’s a ton of nice cars posted here. I always enjoy seeing them. Lots of friends that have old hot rods and build big jeeps and trucks. I’m afraid to jump off into another expensive hobby lol!!

at 48 I would not call myself an old fart ,

I love cars all makes etc.. But there is a point where a new car is not a hot rod its just a new car .

That was my point , By general definition a new car is not a hot rod , nor should it be classified in that way .

Its bought not built . its not 25+ please years old etc .

With that said I dig the CTSV wagons 200 MPH car plenty of power and room to boot . Is it a hot rod HA HA not even close its just one more belly button car that you can buy that goes very fast in stock form . But it is still way cool in my opinion .
