Went out for about an hour around noon. Got 5 on roostertails and left them biting!

Water is good. This weekend should be good fishing, but I bet the crowd is going to be huge too.

Didn't have much time to fish yesterday but we managed to catch a few. Nothing to big. Water was low and barely moving where we were catching them. Drove to another spot further downstream and there was more water (wasn't moving there) but we couldn't get a bite.

I'm sure you're right about the crowd. I usually will launch my 16' boat at nails then head up the creek to avoid all the walk in traffic. Problem is if the fish are further upstream I can't get past all the fisherman.

What exactly do you look for when walking the creeks? Do you just toss a line every few yards or look for something specific?

not sure but I already have my hunter orange and public permit so may park in the WMA and try fishing some spots

Also has anybody caught white bass up nails creek? There are some spots on public land i may try if so.
