    Sorry for getting off topic. I am a big fan of Sitka and First Lite gear when I can hunt. Yes they are expensive, but I am still a fan. I know cheaper camo works, so I am not saying you have to buy Sitka or First Lite. I am just sharing what I like.


    You have a reason to be sensitive.

    Occasional charcoal topically in this use has no likely increase with the amount of exposure. In the studies elements produced by the combustion of fire burning stoves produce known carcinogens with extreme chronic exposure to lab animals which is correlated with carbon/charcoal but not to carbon itself. Using charcoal/carbon topically in occasional topical amounts does not have any evidence based increased risk.
