    Best Texas custom fishing rod?

My dads 60th birthday is coming up at the end of July and my brother and I want to get him a really nice OR custom rod. He has over a 50 rods/reels currently, but all of them are your typical store bought rod/reel combos ($75-$250). Was thinking a really nice high end rod/reel combo might be a good gift since he is about to retire and will be spending most of his time fishing. Anybody have any suggestions for a Texas company to deal with? I am currently considering Waterloo Rods but want to make sure I don't miss a good option

Does he fish fresh or salt water?

What specie and technique does he fish most often?

I don't even consider Waterloo custom anymore. Mass produced, can be bought at Academy.
Awesome gesture by the way! Good luck!

mostly fresh water for Striper (8" spoons and large topwaters) but fishes Salt for Reds and Trout 6-10 times per year. The Rod will def need to be a Med/Hvy due to the striper fishing being his main time on the water

Reel Time Custom Rods make some good quality rods. Not sure what they have in the lines for Stripper or Salt though.

Fitzgerald Rods make some excellent gear too but they are out of Florida.
