    Using flat rate boxes gets you a fixed rate. If it fits in the box then it’s the same no matter the weight. They will send you flat rate shipping supplies for free.

      i just shipped a baseball bat and got hit with a $15 non-standard item over 30" charge, it was only going to be $13.95 to ship it, plus $3.99 for the box.

        Ouch, which carrier? UPS charges oversize fee for anything over 48” long.

            The post office. We buy and sell a lot of bats and they've always been the cheapest, usually about $15-17 total.

            Gonna have to shop around now.
