    Atlanta eats?

I’m spending the night in Atlanta for a work trip. Anyone have any food recommendations? I already hit Vortex last night for beer and burgers. TIA

where are you staying (what part of town) ? the geography of ATL is pretty vast and may take you 1-2 hours to get from College Park to Brookhaven

what are you in the mood for ? Sushi, Lebanese, Southern cuisine, Mediterranean, pizza, etc...

The Vortex in Midtown or L5P?

If you're near L5P try Fox Brothers BBQ. http://www.foxbrosbbq.com/

If you get near Decatur try Community BBQ. http://communityqbbq.com/

If you are in Mid Town try 4Rivers Smokehouse. https://4rsmokehouse.com/locations/atlanta/

Old Hickory House BBQ in Tucker is my favorite restaurant. https://www.oldhickoryhousebbq.com/

In the Virginia Highlands check out Blind Willies if you like the Blues. http://www.blindwilliesblues.com/

The Varsity sucks but I eat there(the one in Athens, not ATL) once per year out of nostalgia. In Midtown. https://www.thevarsity.com/

There is always the Cheetah III and Tattletale Lounge. I used to tend bar at the Cheetah and my first wife was the top "entertainer" at both of the aforementioned clubs. That was back in the mid 80's.

I can't be of much more help. I haven't been to the ATL much since I retired from the AFD in 2000.

If you want to eat more than you should and walk out with your belt on a new hole. Mary Macs. Go with a group as it is family style and all you can eat- save room for peach cobbler. I went with my kid a few months ago and we had to take a nap outside on the street in the car.

Top floor of Peachtree Plaza Hotel. It has seats that turn around building and you get a 360 degree view of ATL.

I "dated" a girl that used to dance at the 'Mont back in the day(not Blondie).
She came to work at our club(Ladies Galore on Cheshire bridge) and she was fine as frog hair.
She said she wore tennis shoes when dancing at the 'Mont.
