Deer are very resilient. Very good chance he survived but no idea about another hunter/poacher/car…

I have seen a lot of bucks that were missing an eye.

Lots of things go blind in one eye for some reason or another. He'll survive.

When you get a chance to watch bucks fighting and sparring up close, it’s hard to believe any of them have any eyeballs left. I think he’ll be fine.

Super common in bucks. They will be fine and it typically doesn't affect their next years' rack at all.

I have a buck named DeadEye, that is 3 years older since we noticed his right eye was gouged out. He’s now 6.5. I wouldn’t think another second about survival. If they can survive a gun or broadhead shot, an eye poke is trivial.

Chances of survival are good. Believe it or not I have actually caped out 2 bucks over my 35 years in taxidermy that had perfectly cleaned out eye sockets.. No connective tissue, fat or membrane of any kind.. Just a pretty clean socket.. The maggots are efficient eaters.. Both were perfectly healthy deer..TOUGH SOB's!!!!!!!!!!
