    Well dang...

I didn’t draw my elk tag this year...
After the whirlwind we’ve been through the last 6-7 months I sure was looking forward to it.
I may just have to apply for a left cow tag just so I can go.
If not I’ll devote more time to trying to fill deer tags.

Me? I'd be happy to be there and maybe bag a cow, freezer full of sweet meat. But actually I'd probably put in for a cow lol. I'm not a trophy guy

        Well dang...

If I ever go elk hunting again, I will shoot the first legal elk I see! Big bull, scrub bull, cow, it doesn’t matter. Been 4 times and have yet to even pull a string back on an elk!!!

That's a bummer! There's still some OTC units in CO for archery.

I hope you bag an OTC fatty MrRandy.

Wyoming draw results came out yesterday.
That’s where I apply every year as well.
Grew up there and miss it like crazy!

I'd love to elk hunt. Financially, probably not gonna happen.

I, too, am blessed with the finances. But at 62 years I'm not sure I'll ever be back in shape for chasing elk in the Rockies. Should have done that more when I was 30, but I'd would have to gotten a bank loan.

I have a buddy who hunts a shy north of Rifle. There is an annual group of older fellas that shows up and he calls them Camp Viagra. The older fellas stroll out to blocker positions and they bring a few young legs to push the mountain and drive the mulies and elk to the blockers. Apparently Camp Viagra always bag and tag some critters when no other camps bag critters.
