Surprised my son with an early Christmas present when we went down to my stepdad's ranch. Had a heckuva time getting this Oryx. Put several stalks on her but never could get a favorable shooting position without pushing the group off. At one point we were within 50yds of the group of eight Oryx she was leading but could not get a good shot on her. Finally after a couple hours we found them again and my son and I setup on a road we saw they were preparing to cross. We moved up and setup the shooting sticks. Sure enough she came out first and stopped 125yds away giving us a perfect broadside shot. My son did the rest!
Shot her with 6.5 Creedmoor 140gr Accubond in upper shoulder. Bullet passed through with little blood trail. You can see the exit in the last pic. Luckily we found her 60yds away in some brush. Talk about one excited kid!
