                              Thanks for the comments. Yes, this was definitely a bucket list item.

                              I will try to answer a few questions. The equipment was a Shimano Tyrnos50 mounted on a pretty stiff 6 1/2 ft rod. It was loaded with 200 lb braid, just in case you hook a big one the guide said. A pretty standard 3 way, with a 1 lb weight and 10/0 Gamakatsu Big River bait hook. We used 2 different baits, strips of salmon belly soaked in some crawdad juju and live smallmouth with the fins cut off. I caught this one on a bass

                              It was a great boat ride up into Hells Canyon, past the Imnaha River which dumps into the Snake out of eastern Oregon. We jet boated through several sets of rapids, caught a ton of smallmouth, and saw mule deer, bighorn sheep, and bald eagles.
