In the last 2 weeks the deer have hammered protein and practically wiped out my summer plot. Sucks but I'm glad they let it grow for a while and it was there when they needed it. Will keep feeding protein, and start gearing up for the season. Only a few more months!

I’m looking at getting several acres of my 26 acres in Marion county mulched before the season. Any advice on when a good time would be? I was thinking early September.

Went out to the lease yesterday (north liberty) and I almost got carried away by mosquitoes trying to set up a new feeder. I think I heard a faint laugh when I sprayed down with off..

Range conditions are excellent at our place in north Jasper County. Every doe seems to have a fawn with her and they looking healthy.

Now just need to fix all the washouts in the roads.....
