Several trees died in order to supply the wood for that bow. I bought one just to see what they were all about. Not something that I would want to tote around for long. The Kodiak Specials are just about as big, from 1965 to 1967. The Tamerlanes were the pinnacle of beauty in the Bear bows. Some of the wood combinations and intricate layups were the work of artisans.

Beautiful bow, and that's a great keepsake.

Can't put a value on a treasure and keepsake like that.

I loved that bow and still miss it tot his day.
Can you give me a short tutorial on how to use the sight?

I believe that is a blanking plate. If you want the sight installed you have to first remove the blanking plate.

                  Thanks. That makes sense.

What a beautiful bow! My mom has one, she has it hanging with several other special bows. I've always wondered about that plate over the rest, and now I understand why it is there.
