Life is too short to shoot pump shotguns, over/unders bigger than 16ga, or any mossberg.

I love the Nylon 66 idea, 22 rifle is covered. Agree on a single six rather than rough rider.

AR is solid, but trash the mil spec triggers, they're all dog ****.

Aside from the classics, Glock 23s for the boys, and 19s for the girls. Everyone should own a couple Glocks.

A short action deer killer (22-250, 243, 257 Rob, 260, or 7mm-08), and a magnum for magnum sized critters. At least one should be a Model 70, 700, 77, or A-bolt.....with a walnut stock.

I agree with a lever gun, I need to quit assin around and buy a Mod 94.

Everyone should have a Pre-64 Win, a Belgian Browning, or a German Weatherby.

every one of them needs a AR15 short barrel pistol. Extremely light weight and fun to shoot.
I have a safe full of AR's and the pistol is far away my favorite.

I think your gun choices have been covered as well as ammo ideas. Get guns/cans while you can. .22 subsonic with can is a blast to shoot.

AR 15 with adjustable stock is a great kid gun...but you know that already.

the kids will REALLY appreciate what your doing 10-20 years from now. You're a good grand pa.
