My buddy has a few of them. It'll get the job done for the application you're gonna use it for. That 87gr. V-Max smacks a coyote pretty good.

Should you own one? Sure, why not? That's the real question.

Faster twist barrels in the 6 creedmore.
Otherwise no.

Verses a .243 the creed is a shorter, fatter case so you can load longer bullets farther out of the neck. If you don't need to do that then you don't need a 6mm creed.

I have one and love it. I wanted a rifle to shoot coyotes and such but also kill a deer if I wanted. It’s been deadly on whitetails and pigs. I don’t own a 243 so it’s a great cartridge for me.

It’s everything the 243 should’ve been. Ballisticslly it doesn’t offer anything over the 243. However it comes with faster twist barrels accepting heavier projectiles. In short it doesn’t offer anything over a custom 243 with fast twist barrel. However most people asking that question (and obviously answering) don’t have enough of an understanding to actually answer it. No knock on those asking. You’re obviously trying to learn.
